What is happening
We have been made aware of scammers impersonating KS Environmental through fake emails, invoices, and payment requests sent to businesses across Australia. They use our name to trick recipients into paying money into accounts that are not ours.
KS Environmental will never email you to change our bank account details, or ask you to make an urgent payment to a new account. If a message asks for either, treat it as a scam and call us to confirm.
How to tell if a message is really from us
If you are unsure whether a message is genuine, check it against the points below. If anything matches the right-hand column, do not pay it, call us first.
A genuine message
- Comes from an email address ending in @ksenvironmental.com.au.
- Bank details match your previous invoices from us.
- Any change to our details is confirmed with you by phone first.
A likely scam
- Asks you to pay a new, changed, or overseas bank account.
- Pressures you to pay urgently or to keep it confidential.
- Charges for a service your business does not recognise.
Report a suspicious message
If you have received an email, invoice, or call using our name, do not reply or pay it. Send us the details and we will confirm whether it is genuine and report confirmed scams to the authorities. If you have already paid, contact your bank immediately.
